“We never tire of flowers. We never tire of great poems or paintings because they bring something new to us each time we encounter them….”
— Melissa Kwasny

Join Brian & Debbie Miller in this online class in their “Habit-Forming” series, designed to help artists develop or reinvigorate their creative habits. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced painter, we hope to share some helpful strategies, provide some inspiration, and help you take steps forward in exploring your style.

The projects in HABIT-FORMING: FLOWERS, Part 1 are suitable for acrylics, oils and mixed media. We demonstrate in both acrylics and oils, and talk about the differences, where relevant.

As part of this class, you’ll see the inside workings of Brian & Debbie's individual approaches to painting bold, expressive flowers. You’ll get the benefit of TWO instructors with different -- but complementary -- approaches to:

  • Materials

  • Composition

  • Drawing

  • Color

  • Value

  • Brushwork

  • Working with references

  • Evaluating their work

This is a Self-Study class and includes:

  • Five core lessons that blend "classroom" style instruction, over 17 hours of pre-recorded demonstration videos, reference photos, and painting prompts to help you create at least 12 paintings and 4 exercises

  • Over 10 supporting lessons on topics ranging from an introduction to color theory to how to make peace with your inner critic, including suggestions for creating your own floral still lifes.

You can download the videos and PDFs of the educational content for lifetime access.
Plus we will maintain your digital access to the instructional content for 2 years.
